AUTHORITIES OF THE POLYTECHNIC
Governing Council
The Council is the Governing body responsible for the formulation of policies for the general management of the POLYTECHNIC. Membership consists of the Pro-Rector and Chairman, Rector, Deputy Rector, Representatives of the State Government, Academic Board, Congregation, and other State Government Nominees outside the academic community.
The Registrar is the Secretary to the Council
Academic Board
The Academic Board is generally responsible for the Academic Affairs of the POLYTECHNIC. Membership consists of the Rector, Deputy Rector, Dean of Schools, Chief Lecturers, Polytechnic Librarian and all Heads of Departments. The Congregation is also represented on the Academic Board. The Registrar is the Secretary to the Academic Board.
Schools’ Board
There are three Schools: These are the School of Pure & Applied Science, School of Engineering Sciences and School of Business Administration and Management. Each School’s Board is made up of all the academic staff of each School, the Rector and the
Deputy Rector.
The School Boards take decisions on the Academic Affairs of the School and make recommendations to Academic Board.
The Congregation consists of all members of the academic staff and all members of the administrative, professional and technical staff holding Diploma conferred by recognized Universities and Polytechnics
